My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scooter's adoption fee is $350.

Hi there, my name is Scooter and I am a 4 yr old Long haired Chihuahua that weighs about 9.5 pounds. I am looking for a new forever home, as my previous family had to give me up because of my Mom's health.
I have found a temporary home at my foster Mom's place but I would really love to have a place to call home "forever". When I first came here, I was really not sure of what was going on and I was grumpy, but now I realize that I am safe here and everybody just wants to help me, so now I can let myself relax. I am really starting to love it here at my foster Mom's place because I have 3 very big Bernese fur siblings I get to hang out with. I also have a feline sibling too. I have to admit, at first I was too curious about her but I have figured out the cats are not to be messed with! I would really love to place to call my own with a new family that will love me forever!
My foster Mom says I am house trained, I know my basic commands and I love to go for long walks even though my little legs have to go fast to keep up with big dog friends! I love to go for car rides and will sit on your lap to look out the window. I like to sleep in my crate in the bedroom where you sleep - that way I can be near you.
I think my ideal home would be with an adult family or one with older children, and who will have the time and patience to let me adjust to my new surroundings. I can be a very lovable little dog but I will need to feel safe and secure first, and able to come to you on my own terms. If you think you could be my new family please let Tiny Paws know - they'd love to hear from you!
