Dove's Story...
Hi, my name is Dove and I am a 4 year old red smooth standard girl, weighing in at 26 lbs. I am a very sweet girl and love to be around my people. I'm a lover, but do not really give kisses. I am 100% housetrained. I have been spayed, am up to date on all shots and have had my teeth cleaned. I'm ok with children, but really don't want much to do with them. I'd rather have a laid-back adult family who would prefer to be with me and not expect me to play with young children. I'm ok with cats, I really like to bark at them, but haven't tried to hurt them in my foster home. I have always been an only dog, including at my foster home, but I have done well with meeting other dogs at the park. I wouldn't mind having a doggie brother or sister in my new home as I do like to run around & play with other dogs. I have had back problems in the past and the vet had me on several weeks of crate rest to allow my back to heal. Although I am 100% healed, I should not be allowed to climb up and down stairs or be allowed to jump on & off furniture as I may injure my back again if allowed to do these things.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dove, a All of New England Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in All of New England, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in All of New England.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in All of New England already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a All of New England breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in All of New England paves the way for another one to be saved.
