Keanna's Story...
When I came into the county pound I only weighed 65 pounds. Yes, me, a St. Bernard who should really weigh about 100 pounds. I was so embarrassed. But, I’m back, and I’m ready! Ready for fun and excitement, that’s what I’m all about! I’m a lover of life and you’ll know right away by my exuberant personality. So I may need a little leash training, so what? I’m working on it, okay? It’s not my fault nobody ever showed me how it worked. I’m great with other dogs, and I love being around people. I’m a big oaf, so I may be too much for the little tykes, not that I don’t like them mind you. If your ready for a girl who’d large and in charge look me up will ya? (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keanna, a Aldie St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Aldie, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
