Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there, my name is Bender.
My foster family also calls me Bennie, Bennie Bender or Bender boy.
I am one sweet shy guy. My past family was not very nice to me, so when I came to my foster home I was very scared of everything and everyone. Within a couple of weeks, I have shown my foster family who I really am. I am a happy guy who loves to play with stuffed toys. Get the vacuum ready because I like to rip them apart and carry them thru the house. I am very shy when meeting new people at first. I share a home with a male Cattle Dog and a female Beagle. Get along well with both of them. Also they have a cat. I just like to go up to her and smell her at times. I would be good with a family with other pets, or I could be alone as I could get all the attention.
I am about 2 to 3 years old. I weigh about 25 pounds. I am a bit thin and could use to gain a pound or two. I am healthy and mid energy level. I do fine in the car. I do have to tell you that I am a morning boy. Like to get up early, do the potty thing and then eat breakfast. Need to play for a while, and then I go take my morning nap. I eat well and am not aggressive with my food. Actually, I get treats here, and at first was not sure what to do with them. I caught onto that pretty quickly. I do not really have the typical AROOOOO Beagle bark. It is more of a high pitch AROOO/squeak bark. Hard to explain, you need to hear me. But, I am not much of a barker at all.
I am still working on the potty training thing. I was left outside for most of my life, so I never had to worry about it before. I am coming along though. I do enjoy my walks, and that is when I potty the most. So I am guessing way back when, I was trained to potty on a leash. I LOVE to sit on the couch with you and snuggle. I love to snuggle in bed at night as well. I sleep thru the night, and have to be touching you to feel you are there with me. I think I am going to be a “home body”. I go outside with my foster siblings, but I am always ready to come in. I want to nap on the comfy couch, or play with my stuffed toys. I am just sooooooo happy to be in a home with a family. Amazing what a little love and trust will do for a guy.
If you think you have the patience that I need to continue to help me out of my shell, I will make it worth it for you. I have lots of love to give. Do you think I may be your guy????
Love,
Bender
