Peaches's Story...
Why hello there. Let me introduce myself. I am Peaches or as I prefer Princess Peach. I'm a sophisticated feline looking for the purr-fect home. I came into the shelter as an undignified stray and had to be shaved down to remove my terribly matted coat. I'm not sure how such a noble cat such as myself came to be in this condition and am looking forward to my beautiful locks returning. I enjoy my humans that have taken me in here at a local spay/neuter clinic but would much prefer a home with less hustle and bustle. I tend to be a little shy at first but once I get used to new people I like to jump in laps and play. I will let you know when I'm done though with a gentle swat. I mean no girl wants people getting too fresh! I'm only about 2-3 years old and in good health (spayed, Felv/FIV negative, up to date on vaccines, dewormed/defleaed). I would prefer to be the only cat in the house but cat friendly dogs are OK. Her adoption fee is $200 and that includes her transport fee. Please email for a cat specific application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peaches, a Staunton Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
