MEET MADDIE....a precocious, happy, active, 2 yr old, 16 lb, tri colored, Lhasa Apso, who will give you hours of laughs and giggles -- starting with her adorable underbite! Maddie came to the Devore Shelter with her pal, Mitchell...but they don't necessarily have to go together -- although they must each go to a home where there is another, happy, small, playful dog. Maddie is very playful and needs some training to know where it is an isn't okay to jump (like not on tables or your lap when you least expect it!) She needs to learn some manners, but she does aim to please. One thing, if you have a swimming pool, you will need to be extra careful to teach her where the steps are because she loves the water! We can't guarantee her potty training, but having a yard and walking her frequently will refresh her memory about where to go and when. It's likely that she and Mitchell were kept outside by the looks of them when they arrived. Maddie is a very loving girl and just wants to belong to someone and have a buddy to romp around with...so if you don't have a dog, she wouldn't be the right pup for you. Kids over 8 yrs old would be wonderful and a family to dote on her would be ideal.
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Westfield Century City Mall from 12p-4pm behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros. Park in the Orange Section in the parking structure and come up the escallator and follow the signage. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!!
