THIS IS MITCHELL....a really cute, sweet and happy 3 yr old, 11 lb, cream colored, Shih Tzu, who came to us via the Devore Shelter with his pal, Maddie. While they like each other and are a great pair, they do not have to go together. Mitchell is more of the follower, submissive and a little insecure. He loves to run and play, but was not quite as adventurous as Maddie (she led the way). Mitchell would be great in a home where he has another buddy (a must) who will show him the way. He is good with both male and female humans and dogs! He will need a little refresher course on his potty training, but considering the way he looked when he came into the shelter, it's quite possible he and Maddie were left outside. That being said, he did use pp pads at our house....but no guarantees at yours. The best home for Mitchell will be one where he has a yard to play, another dog, a family to love him and kids over 5 yrs old. Mitchell is a lover and a cuddler and a dog who loves attention....and with some training, like all dogs from the shelter, he will be a fantastic companion. A little patience and a lot of love goes a long way....and you will get that unconditional love that only animals can give! Give Mitchell a chance and he will make your house a home!!
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Westfield Century City Mall from 12p-4pm behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros. Park in the Orange Section in the parking structure and come up the escallator and follow the signage. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!!
