Arlo's Story...
Arlo is very loyal and likes to be close to you and cuddle. He's more cautious than his brother Woody. He's alert and notices airplanes and helicopters. He's not crazy about the sound of the vacuum cleaner or a power saw, but then who is ?!? He is not a picky eater and has a healthy appetite. He is about 3 months and is all puppy. He runs and chases with his brother, pulls on his collar and ears. He's being house trained by his foster family and is catching on - he knows what he's supposed to do but sometimes it's hard to wait! He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night as well as when his foster parents leave the house. He loves to chew the rawhide bones. Arlo has a precious personality and wants, more than anything, to follow his human around and be held. To meet him, please email Arlo is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arlo, a Marietta Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
