Portia's Story...
Hi! my name is Portia and I am looking for a loving, forever home. I was rescued from a very unsafe beach for dogs in Puerto Rico. I am now residing at our Boston Sanctuary and everyone there loves me. Portia is the assistant at the Sanctuary. She loves to help out any way she can. She is great inside and loves to lounge in the New England sun. She would be a great companion for a walk and would appreciate a belly rub too. She is about 7 - 9 years old, 30 lbs, spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Portia would prefer a home without other dogs because she want to give all her love to humans. If you are interested in meeting her please email meryl@thesatoproject.com. Can't wait to meet you. Love and Kisses Portia :)).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Portia, a Brooklyn Labradoodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labradoodle for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Labradoodle dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labradoodle breeders who help with Labradoodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
