Zeus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Zeus's Story...
Zeus was picked up by a local shelter. He has a skin disease that affected his face and leg. We are not sure how this handsome boy got in such bad shape but he is friendly and loves people. He's about 4-5 years old.

He was rescued and immediately taken to the vet, where he was treated. Zeus' skin biopsy showed Pemphigus, an autoimmune disease. It is chronic, and Zeus will require steroids the rest of his life to keep him from relapsing. He feels better and the sores on his face are healing. Zeus is also showing signs and symptoms of hip dysplasia, which can be managed by medication and regular exercise, and keeping his weight down. Zeus can be adopted, but his new family must understand his special needs.

Zeus would do well as an only dog or with a dog his same age and activity level. We are not sure about cats.

Zeus' diagnostics and hospitalization are expected to cost over $2000, please consider sponsoring Zeus.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Roswell German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Roswell, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Roswell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roswell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roswell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roswell paves the way for another one to be saved.
