Jake is a super sweet and loving neutered male miniature schnauzer. He is around 10 years old and has LOTS of spunk left in him.
Jake came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when he ended up in the shelter surrendered by his owners that could no longer afford to take care of him. He had a mouth full of rotten teeth and after an extensive dental only has his 4 canines left. He eats like a champ though and will be fine eating regular dry food. He has been brought current on his shots and is ready to find a loving forever home.
Jake is great with other dogs but would probably do best in a cat free home. I don’t think he wants to hurt them but he just gets too excited by them and barks, which is quite scary for the kitties. He loves to run in the backyard, is wonderful on a leash, and fantastic riding in a car. His favorite thing is to cuddle up next to you on the couch and be loved. Jake is housetrained and learning how to go out a dog door. He does need to be let out every few hours so as to not have an accident. I am not sure how Jake would do with children. Where he is a senior I would recommend a family with only older children as he is a bit tender when you pick him up and work around his mouth.
Jake has so much love to give and wants a forever family to love and give sweet kisses to. He greets everyone with a happy smile! He has the sweetest personality and is very well mannered.
