LuLu 14184-c's Story...
Sweet Lulu came to live at the SPCA as an adult when her owner became too ill to care for her. She has the most adorable smooshed in face with big, adorable round eyes. This friendly tabby is just waiting to find a second loving home where she can relax and play. She may be unsure at first, but after a few gentle pets (and a little treat to entice her!) she will purr and purr to let you know she's found trust in you. Lulu also loves to play with toy mice; you wouldn't believe she is an ten year old cat when she starts chasing them! She runs back and forth, flipping it in the air as if she were a kitten. Don't you need a sweet older girl with some pep in her step for your home? Come visit her today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LuLu 14184-c, a Ithaca Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
