Stella's Story...
Our young miss Stella is one of the most amazing American Staffordshire Terriers we have seen. She is extremely well behaved, whether it’s in the car, on a walk, or playing with another dog. Stella also enjoys affection, and she’s always up for a good ear scratch or body rub.

This 3 year-old is fascinated with people. She enjoys her walks, and she pays close attention to commands – though she doesn’t always understand them. Stella doesn’t seem to have prior obedience training (we saved her from euthanasia at county animal control), but she seems eager to please.

Stella would be a good match for a family or owner with no cats; she could be an only dog or a part of a multi-dog household. She would like an owner who will give her both training and a lot of hugs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Gilbert American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
