Oksana's Story...
All you looking for the sweetest wiggle worm in all the world? Here I am! I am Oksana a 2 year old Chihuahua who's particularly good at lap warming and gazing lovingly. At 2 years old, it's been a shaky start so I am a little under confident in new situations. With a little support from my favorite people I come around quickly and am great at making friends! I love people with all of my heart, but little kids can be intimidating to me, so I am best in a home without them. I do well with other cats and dogs! Ready for this snuggle bug to be your adoring companion? Fill out an application at so we can schedule a meet! I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $200 and I am currently living in foster care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oksana, a Portland Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
