Hello! My name is Dana. I am a 5-6 year old female Schnauzer and weigh about 15 pounds.
I came from Missouri - from a breeder - who did a breeder release. That's basically when they aren't making enough money off using us up and neglecting us and they get rid of us.
Lucky for me a nice rescue in MO took me and got me to the vet where I have my spay and got my shots and had a dental. That's when a lady from Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati said they would take me!!
There was a really big transport about 10 days later - and I got to go with a whole bunch of other doggies - out of Missouri - to other states north where we have a better chance for adoption. I was the only Schnauzie!! That was a long day - but after many car changes - I got to my destination. Another nice SRC lady met my transport.
Now I'm getting down to the business of learning how to be a dog instead of a baby machine. I'm learning how to walk on the leash but best of all is I'm learning that not all people are greedy breeders. There are a whole bunch of nice rescue people that just want to show me love and affection and take care of me.
I'm excited about my new life now. I hope and pray that I can find my furever home where I will be safe and loved. Would you be that home?? I am a sweet little girl and get along with other dogs. I will love you back if you just give me a chance. Just put my name on an application - that's DANA!!
And thank you for considering a rescue. You won't be sorry!
