My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet Callie! Callie is a 6.5 year old AKC registered australian shepherd with very rare markings we are going to call muted red merle. Callie has had an extremely sad beginning to life and is looking to spend the remainder of her life being pampered.
She is a simple girl who doesn’t ask for much — just love, food, and water really. She loves to be with people and would be okay with another quiet dog. She loves attention from people whether it’s petting, massaging, or even talking too. She is perfectly content laying at your feet all day long. She is rather low energy but would certainly enjoys a short walk each day.
Callie is running full speed again and gaining weight nicely but still needs to gain a few pounds, which will be easily accomplished with regular feedings. She would be best in a quiet home with children 8 or older, because loud voices and fast movements scare her. She does not like cats so her new home cannot have any. Sadly she never had a normal dog life so she is learning and enjoying what that is like. She doesn’t really care for toys; they too unfortunately scare her. But she loves any kind of treat and chewing on bones especially rawhide.
Callie is house broken and crates well. She is fostered in Evansville, WI.
