My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gus, a high-energy, fun-loving goofball. Gus is a larger Aussie at 60-65 lbs, and always happy and loves to play with people but especially other dogs. He doesn’t know a stranger and before you know it he is walking up and greeting everybody, whether they want to play or not. He loves to run and still jumps when he gets excited, and when he is playing he uses his front paws like boxing gloves. Gus would be great for an active family that has a lot of time to spend with him doing outdoor activities.
If not closely supervised Gus does like to roam off leash and will jump a shorter fence, mainly searching for more dogs to play with after he has wore all his current pals out. His recall is improving but sometimes he takes an alternate route to take a dip in the pond before coming to you.
Gus doesn’t always like the idea of going in his crate, but once in does fine with no accidents. He is mostly housebroken with no accidents after a routine is established. Gus is still just a puppy at heart and will more than likely mellow out once he gets a little older. He has not been around cats and we advise a home without them. Older children that are ready to play would be great for him. He walks well beside you on leash most of the time, unless meeting a stranger that could pet him. He LOVES car rides.
Gus learns very quickly and just needs help perfecting his commands around distractions. The ideal home would be a very active family that can laugh at his goofy antics and love him for it. Gus is fostered in southwest Missouri.
