Paige's Story...

Paige came to ACL as a stray and we are very fortunate to have her as part of the ACL family! Paige is a wonderful orange and white tabby looking for her forever home. She is very playful and chases around the balls and the mice we provide for the kitties at the shelter. Paige does have child age restrictions of older children due to her exuberance in play. When she has calmed down and is ready to relax, she comes looking for you and your lap. She gets along with other felines and would do well in a multi-cat household, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't enjoy being the only cat in your home that you can spoil with affection just for her. She would make a wonderful addition to your home and cannot wait to me her forever family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paige, a Oak Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
