My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Banner, and I am five years old. Right now, I live with my foster parents and my foster sister Dixie, who is also 5 and a Golden Retriever. My previous owner rescued me about 2 years ago, so my foster parents do not know much about my early years. I am a very sweet girl and love to go on walks, swim in the water, and play with other dogs. Unfortunately, I don't like cats, so I would need to go to a home that does not have cats. I recently had one of my canine teeth removed at the vet, but since it was one on the top, I still have maintained my beautiful smile! I am usually left in the kitchen with a baby gate if my foster parents go to work or have to leave the house. I can be trusted to not destroy your kitchen; however, I don't mind a treat or two left behind. When I go walking on the trails at the park, I can be trusted to stay close without a leash, and I do not run off if my foster mom takes me outside in the front yard. I'm still getting used to how this whole sleeping at night thing works. I like to growl and sometimes bark during the night, and it has kept my foster parents up. I'm not growling at them, and I'm not aggressive, maybe I'm nervous or want attention. They are still working with me on this. Did I mention I'm good with kids? My foster parents have a niece and nephew that visit the house often, and they are two and three. I am sometimes shy around new people but warm up very quickly. I could always go for a good ol' belly rub! I love meal time and love to play fetch in the backyard. Oh, and I like to give lots of kisses which is quite different than my foster sister Dixie. I am looking forward to meeting my forever family! To find out more about adopting me and fill out an online application, please visit www.adoptagolden.com.
