Moose's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Moose's Story...
Moose is a gorgeous 1 1/2 yr old neutered male that came to us as an owner surrender. He is available to an experienced Pyr owner without children. He is a wonderful dog and a big sweetheart but he does have some guarding issues around his food and water bowls. We have been able to work around his issues at the Rescue without a problem but special care does need to be taken and he's not a dog for just anyone. If interested, you may fill out an online application at

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated against Bordetella, DHLP and Rabies, as well as microchipped prior to adoption. We require a $250 adoption fee that will partially recover our expenses. We do require that an adoption application be filled out and submitted. Upon receipt we will check veterinary and personal references and then schedule a home visit. We do require a fenced in yard (an invisible fence is not an acceptable means of confinement).

We are always in search of approved foster homes. Upon receipt of a foster application, a similar process to an adoption is done. We will provide veterinary care, boarding, and grooming and you will only have to provide food, love and a secure environment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moose, a Cambridge Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Cambridge, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Cambridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cambridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cambridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cambridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
