Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jill, and her brother Jack, were brought to the shelter when they were just six weeks old by their owner. We were able to take them away from there the same day and they are simply adorable. From the owner we do know their mix which is Yorkie and Jack Russell Terriers. They will not be ready for adoption until at least next Monday but we are taking applications at this time.
Jill is the tinier of the two, and also the most laid back. However, she would prefer to be held and cuddled but does love to play with toys and to chase things around the room. If you are standing still for long she will come lay her head on your foot simply to be near you.
Jill will be very tiny and so we are looking for a home in which, if there are any children, they are at least eight years of age.
Jill does well sleeping in a crate all through the night, but loves even more sleeping in a warm lap or in her person's arms.
If you are interested in meeting and or adopting Jill please email us for an application.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
