~A LETTER FROM SAMPSON~

Hello, let me introduce myself, my name is Sampson. I sat, and sat, and sat some more, for months at Guernsey County Dog Pound, people would come in and take home all the other puppies, and dogs. You see, I am not big, but I am not little, I am not a purebred, I am a mix, I am not a puppy, I am not the right bred. These are all the things that have been said about me. I just do not understand, because I think we are all special. I was rescued finally, and I was so excited! I went to a home with a foster, she was really nice to me. I really liked her. She told me I would only be there for a little bit. You see, I am heart-worm positive. I went and saw the vet, and they did these awful treatments in July, but I started to feel better after a while. After I felt better, her cat and I decided that we didn't like each other, and so I had to leave. I have been to so many foster homes now since August, because no one can foster me long term. Oh people have offered to foster others, but, you see, its the same thing, sigh...I am too big, or too small, not the right bred, I am too young, not young enough, or too old. I am not a purebred or I am a boy, All I know is that I think I am really special and wish someone could foster me or adopt me! It makes me really sad that I do not have a family to call my own. Do you think you can help me? So many of us sit in pounds and wait and wait, then we go to a rescue and wait some more. If you can't foster me because you are too far away, please call a local rescue. There are so many dogs just like me!
Love, Sampson

Sampson is a sweet, loving special guy. He is heartworm positive, but has received his treatment and is doing great! Sampson is a very sweet, laid back, loving young guy! He is not quite 2 years old, and is very gentle with children, loves other dogs, but he tends to chase cats sometimes. He loves to walk on a leash, and likes to carry it in his mouth!Sampson has lots of good manners, and loves to cuddle. Sampson is housebroken, neutered, and is up to date on his shots.

Sampson's adoption donation is $250.00 He will require heartworm preventative medicine monthly for the rest of his life.
