Doctor Pepper (also known as "Pepper") is a fun, good-natured Poodle/Schnauzer mix (he's a "Schnoodle!) rescued from the Ramona Animal Shelter. He is age two and weighs about 15 lbs. Dr. Pepper is a no shedding dog and may even be HYPOALLERGENIC. He does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He is even friendly to infants and toddlers. He is also extremely dog friendly. Pepper is up for playing with any dog who will play with him, large or small. However, Dr. Pepper is also very human oriented. Typical to all Poodles, they are excellent companion dogs! Dr. Pepper is an intelligent dog who learns and trains quickly. He loves little antlers or rawhides chews, and also loves toys!
Pepper walks nicely on the leash and loves to stop during the walk to greet people. He wants to make friends wherever he goes. He has not had any potty accidents at the house since the first day, however, potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment. He has learned to use the doggie door. He sleeps in his crate at night and is crated intermittently throughout the day, as needed, with no problems. Pepper is a very loving, affectionate dog who has the energy to take walks or hikes, go to the dog park, or even do light jogging. He loves to cuddle with you when you're watching T.V. at night. Dr. Pepper responds well to a structured environment, and while still active is malleable to training and correction. His best fit is a home with another dog to play with him, and with a yard whereby both dogs can romp around and explore, or, active people who work from home and enjoys taking their dog with them on errands and outings.
Pepper is neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated including rabies, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in Pepper, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com . The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue until you have first submitted an interest via e-mail.
