APRIL (R)'s Story...
April is an adorable girl and OH SO SWEET. She has a lot of spunk when outside. April is the first beagle that has ever sat for the photographer when she has asked them to. April LOVES squeaky toys. She was picked up as a stray and it is too bad her family did not come for her. She seems like she knew love. April is about 7 yrs old and weighs 24 lbs. She is current on vaccines and spayed and will be micro chipped upon adoption. It appears April’s owners did not give her prevention so sadly she has tested positive for heartworms and should be treated right away. With treatment April should be good as new in no time. Keep in mind heartworms are NOT contagious from dog to dog. Please come and meet this sweet, sweet girl. Her ID is 558137 and she is in cage 13.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. Why Adoption is a Great Option

APRIL (R), a Marietta Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
