*URGENT* Brewster the Kitten's Story...
Brewster was a mere three days old, in a box at an apartment building with a sign saying "free to good home"

He was not fed for an entire day and dehydrated, had fleas and tapeworms, lacerations on his paws, low body temperature, one eye was out of the socket, and the other damaged beyond repair from trauma. Brewster is blind.

After a few days in intensive care he now is in foster care short term, but is seeking another foster to bottle feed him for an additional few weeks going forward.

Brewster has a team of people supporting him in every way. It is our hope once he gets stronger and grows into an adult, that he will live a long happy life, as many blind cats do.

If you know of anyone seeking to adopt a special needs cat or who is capable of fostering him, please contact Brett to learn more about Brewster, and his amazing survival story. 917.292.9154.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*URGENT* Brewster the Kitten, a New York American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
