My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vincent Van Gogh: 4-5 yr old, chocolate & rust, neutered male, docked tail and cropped ears, 12" 8.5 lbs. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Vincent Van Gogh, aka Vinny, is an adorable dog that has an interesting story. We estimate his age as a young & spirited 4 years or so - don't let his age fool you - he is very youthful in his outlook on life!
Vinny was found as a stray by animal control and after some nights in the shelter he remained unclaimed. This is how he found his way to IMPS. We really believe he had a home, but somehow got out & was not chipped so he could not be returned to his owner.
At first he was sad and timid, but after a couple days with his foster family he warmed right up! He plays with his two foster brothers and loves sitting on laps. Vinny uses a doggy door, is house trained, walks well on a leash and listens to commands. He loves everyone he meets, but seems especially fond of his foster dad, so we think he may have been raised by a man.
The nearest we can guess is that little Vinny belonged to an older retired gentleman. Vinny loves to take family road trips in our RV. On his first trip, he hopped right in & he didn't want to leave the RV! He looks out the window or sits comfortably on your lap - we are wondering if he lived in a mobile home or was a "road dog" with his previous master. He would make a great companion for a trucker!
Vinny is known as Vincent Van Gogh because as you can see from his photo, he has one ear that's "special" adding to his artistic character. We are wondering if Vinny's breeder didn't allow the cartilage to heal properly and his one ear flops to the back as a result. It adds to his charm, and makes him especially adorable - kinda looks like the RCA dog, cocking his head to one side to hear the master's voice...
This little guy is very special and will be a fine addition to any household. He just wants to be with his peeps and be a lap dog - although he does enjoy his two long walks each day - he just needs some love and attention and will be your doggy masterpiece. If you think you have want it takes to fill his world with love.

Note: Vinny is located in Montara, CA - and we will not fly this boy.
