KALANI and HALLE....better known as the kissy twins....are likely sisters and very bonded. They came from the Devore Shelter with a very peculiar haircut, but now they are cute as they can be. Kalani is a white w/ black, 8.8 lbs, 1.5-2 yr old Shih Tzu mix, who was terrified at the shelter. We think she generally is a little shy for a bit, as she seems to love to burrow under pillows, beds, couches...anywhere she can hide. When you pick her up...she burrows into your arms and loves to be held. Expect a lot of kisses once she knows you! Halle is black with white, 11 lbs, 1.5-2 yrs old, and she seems to be more of a mix than Kalani...but litters can be that way. She is more outgoing from the start, loves to romp and play and kiss, kiss, kiss. We haven't seen them playing with toys...in fact the squeakies scare Kalani, but once they are settled, I think their true personalities will come out. When they arrived they did not even walk on a leash...now they prance (but be careful, they can get under foot -- they need leash practice!) We think that they had a yard to do their business or were trained on PP pads, as they seldom do it on a walk. But they are getting the hang of it. They will likely need a yard....or a home where PP pads and walks are acceptable. They would be great with kids over 8 yrs old.....but watch the doors, especially at first! These girls are fairly quiet...they want to be with each other and their peeps. Don't be surprised if Kalani is hiding under the bed or couch....she still peeks out from under my fouton! They are precious...are they for you? Two is always better than one!

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Westfield Century City Mall from 12p-4pm behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros. Park in the Orange Section in the parking structure and come up the escallator and follow the signage. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!!
