Facts about Princess
Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix
Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
After spending her first year and a half in an unstable home, we rescued Princess, our gorgeous 1 1/2 yr old blue eyed pit bull after her owner ended up in jail. The owner's sister was coming by to feed her and take her for a quick walk every day or two. By the time we rescued her, Princess had been living in the empty apt for 4 months and she was scared, depressed and lonely. We brought her to a wonderful trainer where she is receiving the training and socialization she's never had before. It takes her a minute to initially warm up to strangers but then she is super friendly and sweet. She responds very well to clear direction, which grounds her and builds up her confidence. She's smart and responsive and would love obedience and agility training, anything to occupy her mind, and an easy going playful companion would be great too. She weighs about 40 lbs and is short and muscular, but not overly stocky...perfect for an active agile dog. She is spayed, healthy and up to date on her shots. About Our Rescue Group...
Stray from the Heart is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of homeless dogs. We provide shelter, veterinary care and loving homes for abandoned, lost, neglected and abused animals. We also provide training and education regarding the protection and care of animals, as well as ongoing support to the individuals and families who adopt from us.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Stray from the Heart does not have a shelter facility, so our rescued dogs are living in foster homes throughout the city. If you are interested in seeing a dog, call us and we'll arrange a meeting for you.
Our Adoption Process...
We require an adoption agreement and we ask an adoption donation fee of $300 - $400. For more information about our adoption process, please visit www.strayfromtheheart.org.
