Kilo is a friendly, gentle Bulldog/Pit Bull mix boy who wants nothing more to love and be loved. He's a big boy, but don't let that fool you - he thinks he's a 5 lb lap dog! He absolutely loves to be with people, and is happiest cuddling up to his humans and keeping them company wherever they are (yes, even the shower, if you'll let him!). He can't start his day without a long cuddle session in bed every morning, and maybe a few sips of your coffee (just kidding!).
Kilo is extremely curious about the world around him, and loves to people-watch out the window or to "help" his humans work. While he prefers to be with people, he's fine if he has to stay in his crate while his humans are out of the house - and if he gets a treat for going in, all the better!
He is very playful, and loves to be outside, too - especially if he's allowed to go wading in the water or catch water from the hose or sprinkler! He has good basic manners, and is working on learning a few tricks. Kilo loves to go for walks, and has good leash manners, but doesn't require endless hours of exercise every day, making him a great fit for most busy people.
Given his size and playful nature, it would be best for Kilo to be either the only dog in the home or in an environment only with larger dogs of a similar size and energy level to him. He loves to play, but sometimes forgets that he's not 5 lbs!
He has had limited interaction with small children to date since his foster family does not have any in the home, but when he has met them its been with gentle curiosity only. However, we cannot guarantee that he might not try to sit in their laps for storytime! With this in mind, a home with older children, if any, would be best for our big boy.
He is a low-maintenance dog, but needs a home that can provide him with the strong leadership he craves and responds best to. This boy is very, very smart and easy to train, and thrives with positive recognition and praise; any effort invested in him is given back tenfold with love and affection. As a bonus, he has a phenomenal sense of smell, and would likely be easily trained for tracking if you were interested in teaching him that.
