Star's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Star's Story...
Star is a 6 yr old spayed brown and white female cocker spaniel. She was used for breeding purposes but those awful days are behind her. Star was abandoned by her family at a grooming facility. Star is shy when you first meet her but is very sweet. Good with kids and good with other dogs. She loves toys & treats. Star is crate trained and rides great in a car. She is working on her housebreaking and would love to find a family that she could live with forever. If you are interested in this girl, please email her at or call 270-684-4787.

About Saving Paws Animal Rescue of KY

About Our Rescue Group...

SparKy is a local, not for profit, no-kill, animal rescue. It takes a unique approach to animal rescue through the utilization of "foster homes" to house the animals. These foster homes provide the animals with a loving environment in which their needs are fully met. They also allow the foster parents to assess the temperament of the animals, as well as their individual needs, thus ensuring that the best permanent home possible is found.
Sparky is a true "No-Kill" rescue! Members of SparKy strongly believe in saving lives, and they will go to great lengths to protect animals. No-Kill rescues will ONLY euthanize an animal if it is recommended by a veterinarian due to illness beyond providing the animal a good quality of life, or due to a severe behavioral issue, such as extreme aggressiveness, that places humans and other animals at risk. SparKy will do everything in its power to save the life of an animal!
Members of SparKy have made it a mission, to join in with rescue groups and shelters across America, by focusing on our local community to reduce the number of animals killed each year. SparKy's goals are to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, to educate the public about responsible pet ownership, and to rescue and re-home homeless adoptable pets.

Our Adoption Process...

All animals cared for by SparKy receive a thorough vet exam, vaccinations, heartworm testing and treatment if needed for dogs, FIV/FeLeuk testing for cats, parasite control, as well as treatment for any illness that they might have. They will also be spayed or neutered, prior to going to their new home. Anyone adopting a pet from SparKy will be required to sign an adoption contract, as well as pay an adoption fee. The adoption fees are as follows:
• Kitten (up to 1 year old) $75.00
• Adult Cat (1 year & up) $50.00
• Puppy (up to 1 year old) $125.00
• Adult Dog (1 year & up) $100.00
