Trooper's Story...
PAAC fans we need your support to help Trooper, a 4 month old boxer mix, find a loving home. Trooper came to Animal Control as a cruelty case. His owner left this young pup in the blazing sun with no shelter to a point where his skin blistered and his fur fell off on his back. From when he arrived he would hide under his bed and you would only see his paws peeking out and not even realizing there was a dog in the kennel. The amazing part is all that Trooper has been through he does not have a mean bone in his undernourished body. He will lick your hand and wag his tail when you take him out. Trooper loves belly rubs but he has to have them standing up because he is unable to lay on his back till it heals. His fee is sponsored, will be neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped upon his adoption. Will you be his hero? Will you be the one to tell Trooper his story about how you saved him?

Upon adoption, Trooper will be neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is WAIVED. You can submit an adoption application at Please TEXT 361-438-3232 for more information. You can visit Trooper at Corpus Christi Animal Control at 2626 Holly Road. Adoption Hours are Mon-Fri 11:00 am - 5:30 pm and Saturday 11:00 am - 4:30 pm. Make sure you ask for a PAAC volunteer when you go visit!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trooper, a Corpus Christi Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Corpus Christi, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Corpus Christi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Corpus Christi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Corpus Christi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Corpus Christi paves the way for another one to be saved.
