My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HALO is FIV+ . He is also a special needs kitty by way of a permanent disability to his R/R knee joint, but he gets around just fine on three legs .

He was rescued by a schoolteacher who has become dedicated to trying to save all the cats that have been cast out in her neighborhood. Our veterinarian estimated his age at 3-5 years . Except for his FIV+ status , he is in exceptional health and showing no signs whatsoever of any illness . He is up to date on his shots and neutered .

His rescuer feels he was thrown outside to fend for himself after being an indoor kitty, as so many are in her neighborhood of Newark. If not for her caring nature , who knows what may have happened to Halo by now. With his leg disability , he would certainly not be able to defend himself living outside and would be easy prey for animals as well as motor vehicles .

He is a good boy , a little timid because of the road he has been forced to travel , but a sweet boy just the same. He enjoys being rubbed , and will roll on his side for you to rub his belly. This boy would be ever so grateful to have a forever home , where he could have free roam and enjoy being loved and cared for. He has had a pretty tough time of it , just trying to survive out on the streets . It is suspected that whoever put him out on the street also gave him his injury. If you think that you might open up you heart and home to this beautiful boy and give him a wonderful forever home , I'm sure that Halo would return that love for the rest of his days .

He needs the chance to have peace in his life . For any additional information about Halo , or to meet him , please contact Rich at SARA Rescue.
