Meet Gouda, a 3 month-old Shih Tzu/Dachshund mix who is a female sable-colored sweetie pie born April 29, 2013. Words to describe Gouda are: Friendly, people-oriented, dog-oriented, playful, curious, and loving and affectionate. Gouda is very playful and loves to play with her sibling sister, Cheddar. She is a curious dog, exploring her environment. When you pick her up, she just melts and becomes more mellow. Such a sweetheart! Gouda would benefit from another dog in the home to play with her and hang out with her. She is oh so cute and adorable and loves treats too! Gouda is low to no shedding and may even be HYPOALLERGENIC.
Gouda’s story is as follows: An unfortunate event occurred whereby an owner abandoned her pregnant Shih-Tzu, Chanel, (we think she’s pure bred Shih Tzu – and she’s already adopted) and male Dachshund mix, Boston, at our vet office while boarding. Chanel had a successful delivery of 5 healthy puppies while with us. Gouda is one of those puppies! We wish to provide Gouda with a loving home so that she can stop living at our vet’s office. Gouda is current on her shots, has had a fecal exam done, as well as been de-wormed.
Gouda did have an accident, whereby a larger dog bumped into her, that resulted in a few stitches in her eye. But it is healing well and she is just finishing up with an eye ointment. Otherwise, she is ready to explore the world with her new family! The injury did not affect Gouda’s vision or function of the eye itself. The vet can speak to you if there are additional questions.
If you are interested in Gouda, please contact Nicole at the Arlington Animal Hospital, (Riverside) - Telephone: 951-689-0440; Email: info@arlingtonanimalhospital.biz. You may also contact Janet Cook of the Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue before, during, or after hospital hours at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com or: tudgegirl2@yahoo.com or phone: 626-340-9316 during normal business hours (from 8-5). E-mails can be sent any time, day or night.
The adoption fee is $200.00 plus a $50.00 spay/neuter deposit. There will be a spay/neuter contract to sign in addition to the standard adoption contract.
