Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beaker got his name honestly. If you know the Muppet puppet, Beaker, you can imagine exactly how this little boy sounds when he needs back inside, and the mournful sound he makes when he's howling along with a siren simply breaks your heart but makes you laugh at the same time.
Beaker is very very tiny! All of 5 pounds and about a year old, and fully grown!!!!! This boy is a purse-sized doxie mix if ever there was one, and he thinks that is the very best place for him to be. Either that or in someone's arms, in a lap, etc. In the last picture you can see him standing next to a tiny Chihuahua girl at his foster home - he's about half her size!
This little guy gets along great with all the small and medium-sized dogs at his foster home. He's just a little too small for us to expect the very large dogs to even see him so we just don't mix them together, though we are pretty sure he would get along great with them as well. Because of his small size we are looking for a home where any children that would be around Beaker be at least eight years old.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Beaker please email us for the application. You won't be sorry!
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
