Talise's Story...
Meet Talise, an adorable 6 week old cocker spaniel/shepherd mix puppy. Talise won't be available for adoption until she's 8 weeks old on the 28th of August, but we are accepting applications for the lil love bug now!

Talise came to Angels on Wheels with her siblings: Talise, Finn, and Tony from a small town pound in Kentucky. She is, healthy, and ready to learn what the world is all about when you have a loving family in your puppy life. Talise is fostered with Tonka in a Naperville area home. She is learning about the sights, sounds, smells, and adventures involved with living in a family with older children, adult dogs, and the hustle and bustle of a busy life. She still young and has yet to experience a kitty, but he is young and with the proper introduction at a young age, he should adjust just fine.

Here is what the foster mom had to say about this special girl:

PLEASE NOTE THAT BREED, AGE, AND SIZE AT MATURITY ARE ONLY GUESSES!

If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available, but might have applications we are processing. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it's in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Emails will slow down the process, and while you are awaiting an email response, we may get applications if we already haven't received any. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but gives you a head start with the adoption approval process. We do not schedule meet and greets until the application is approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. We are all volunteers and work as quickly as possible between jobs and friends, and we thank you in advance for your patience.

The foster home in Naperville is where you would go to meet this pooch with an approved application. You can find the canine adoption application at our website at www.angelsonwheels.org under the adoptions tab of the website. All of our puppies go through a two week quarantine.

The adoption fee of $300.00 and includes: The spaying/neutering when old enough, microchip, up-to-date on routine vaccination for distemper-adenovirus-parainfluenze-parvo, rabies vaccinated if over 4 months, heartworm tested if over 9 months, dewormed with panacur, treated with either revolution or front-line plus, along with any other medical needs. You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Woodridge Animal Hospital, Wheaton Animal Hospital, Naperville Animal Hospital, and a coupon booklet for Petco.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Talise, a Naperville Cocker Spaniel/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
