Rocky D's Story...
Age: 6 Dogs: Females Kids: Yes Cats: Unknown
Rocky D is a mellow guy who is big in size and just as big in heart. He was adopted years ago and doing just great until a second male (un-neutered) was added to the home and the boys did not hit it off. The new boy stayed and Rocky was returned. He is awesome and deserves a lifetime commitment. He arrived back at BRLA happy to be around the lady dogs. Over time and with the stress of the kennel Rocky sadly has become very reactive to most dogs. Once away from the chaos he has that easy going swagger as you walk him on leash that makes him easy to be with. Rocky D knows the ropes, he is housebroken and will hopefully still love a lady dog to be with, if not how about some cool people to light up his life.

Please visit our main website at www.boxer-rescue-la.com for most recent list of available Boxers and to fill out an adoption application. Due to the volume of inquiries our volunteers receive we are unable to reply to inquiries without a completed adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky D, a Encino Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Encino, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
