My story

Introducing Isby! He's a Plott Hound mix that arrived from another facility in hopes of finding a home sooner at Friendship. Isby has been the perfect guest since his arrival. He's a strong but friendly fellow. He's got a hunting instinct but would be fine using it in a fenced in backyard. On a personal note, I have a Plott Hound mix and he's a very affectionate guy and a great running partner too. Isby is a great age at 5 years old, out of the puppy stage and ready to be a great family pet.

On September 18, 2013 Isby was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institute. Isby is being trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend between 8-12 weeks at the prison. Isby will not return to Friendship until his training has been completed.

If you are interested in adopting Isby, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.
