My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola is fast becoming a favorite among the volunteers and singing about her. “Her name is Lola, she is a show dog. With brown spots from here to there and a wagging tail. Her name is Lola!” You too will be singing her praises within minutes of meeting her. She is sweet, a little shy, loves to cuddle and just one very happy dog. What more would you want in a girl? Oh maybe that she is also great on the leash, knows how to sit and down on command, takes treats gently and can be found lounging on the couch if you let her. She gets excited when you first take her out but within a few minutes she is focused and all about her walks and enjoys being alive. Give her a good scratch on her left side of the head and her right ear will pop up. Scratch the other side and the opposite ear will go up. Scratch her on the top of her head and both ears pop up. What a hoot. You will sure to be amused when you spend time with our Lola. Lola is house trained and is happy just hanging with you or if it is action you want she can handle that also.

Her easy-going temperament makes her a favorite with our volunteers. She is such a gem to walk, and is not bothered by other dogs, walkers, joggers, or bicyclist’s. She is guilty however, of stopping to smell the occasional flower or shrub.

Once Lola gets to know you and her confidence flourishes, she wants nothing more than to remain by your side. She walks well on a leash, without any tugging or pulling. She also rides well in a car, however, prefers the front passenger seat over the backseat. She is somewhat timid at first, however, after the introductory period she reveals her affectionate side which adores hugs and snuggles. Lola is a sweet genuine girl who melts everyone’s heart by just being herself. Check her out today! She's eager to start the next chapter of her life! To learn more - www.azrescue.org.

Lola weighed 48.4 pounds when we saved her from the kill list.
