My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sassafras or “Sassy” as she is fondly called by the volunteers is a doll and so much fun to be with. A beautiful Brindle color with a personality to match. Her exuberance for life is contagious and very hard to not have a great time when you are with this special girl. She is very happy and shows it the minute she meets you. She is spunky and not afraid of anything. She doesn’t hold anything back so be ready for an adventure. Sassy is good on the leash and walks by your side with little or no pulling. She makes friends with everyone she meets and doesn’t know a stranger.

Sassy’s affectionate nature makes her such a delight to be with. Her temperament can be summed up as Sweet, Caring, Loving, Gracious, and Sincere. Sassy’s cheerful outlook and excitement is obvious from the constant wagging of her tail. Her tail has also been known to “whip” back and forth while dreaming.

Sassy is potty trained, knows how to use a doggie door, and rides well in a car. She also walks and runs well on a leash. Her ability to maintain a consistent runners pace, makes her an excellent partner for the running enthusiast. Sassy’s trusting nature allows her to get attached to her person very quickly.
