Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ernie is a 7 year old, 20lb Beagle/Shepard mix. Ernie is generally mild mannered and quite calm indoors. People ask if he is a puppy everyday when out on walks, due to his spry and playful nature.
Ernie is currently located in NY.
Ernie is very well house trained, NEVER chews on furniture/clothes and gets along great with people/kids and animals. He would love a home with an outdoor space.
Ernie would thrive in a loving home with a family, ideally a home with another doggie brother/sister. He really loves the company of other dogs and I know having a furry companion would make the transition easier for him. Ernie would be a great addition to any loving family.
Ernie is SPECIAL NEEDS; He has a mild epileptic condition that requires 3 doses of medication per day. This condition is very well controlled with medication. Ernie is truly a little miracle puppy.
The most important thing to know about Ernie is that he is an unquestionably good dog. He is very affectionate, loyal and bonds to people and animals quickly. He has never met a person he hasn't liked. He has an ingrained deep desire to love and be loved fully. He belongs in a loving stable home and any family or couple would be blessed to have him.
**PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR INQUIRY** We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them. Please do not submit an inquiry if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.
Our adoption fee is $475. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, 30 days of pet insurance, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where it is kept for a minimum of 2 weeks for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. After the 2 week quarantine time they are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. They are then placed on the website. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested in it, we make arrangements with the waiting foster to pick the animal up from the airport to then meet with the potential adopter. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
