Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Sweets #3107
Age: 2 years
Color: Red
Coat: Longhair
Sex: Neutered/Male
Weight: Tweenie – 16 lbs
Sweets came to us from the Sacramento SPCA. They asked us to take him as he was very shy and wouldn’t readily approach people. We are so glad we had room, because this shy boy is one nice dog! He got his moniker because while nameless, we began saying things like “Where is the sweet dog? Or “have you fed the sweet dog ”, etc. Pretty soon he became just Sweets.
Sweets had been picked up as a stray and his behavior indicates he did not get much exposure to people and outings in his previous life. He very much wants to be with people although he is nervous about first approaching. The sheer number of other dogs in his foster home makes it hard for Sweets to get the people time he needs to help him become a brave boy.
Sweets would like a home with another confident dog. He is great with all the dogs in foster care including young, annoying puppies.
Noise and craziness frightens him so we think this gentle dog needs a home with no children or older children.
Sweets could benefit from walks and maybe even an obedience class to help boost his confidence. He loves his treats which can make training easier.
One of Sweet’s most appreciated features is that he never makes any noise!! We have never heard him bark (and believe us – the rest of the pack barks often but he never joins in).
Sweets is crate trained. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped.
