Amber's Story...
Amber is one sweet little dog who was at the end of her designated time in a Southern CA shelter. This 4 year old mild mannered, affection Maltese/Poodle female has an old injury to her left front elbow. Amber walks well, jumps, and runs like other dogs her size.

Amber was examined by an orthopedic veterinary specialist who felt her leg was fractured a couple of years ago and never treated. He told us that a surgical procedure would not enable her to use the leg. He recommended that we help Amber find an adoptive family who will love her as she is, a healthy, very affectionate Maltese mix little dog.

This nice little dog is residing in a foster home, and she would dearly love to share her affection with a family of her own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amber, a Ft. Bragg Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Ft. Bragg, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Ft. Bragg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Bragg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Bragg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Bragg paves the way for another one to be saved.
