Look who is looking for you!
This is Gibson, A little miniature Aussie boy. Darling, playful, athletic, bright, he is everything an Aussie is in a very small body. He will only be between 12 and 15 pounds when he is fully grown. He is a fully Miniature Aussie who was reject because he is black. Energetic, entertaining, and so cute – he was born for a ball. Like the larger Aussies, he will do very well with training and with agility. If you love the breed (information is below) Gibbs is everything you expect of an Aussie in a small package. Being all Aussie, he is one of our Angel pups.
Our Angel pups are the very desirable little ones who use their extra cuteness to help us care for the other pups who are not as fortunate in health, nutrition and life experience. Where Angel pups are a rarity for us, pups in need of rehabilitation are not. We are so thankful for the help our Angels provide.
Too young and small to be spay/neutered, with our contract you agree to have your pup altered before he or she is 6 months old. If you don’t choose a low cost option in your area, we can bring your pup back to our vet and have that process done for you. These pups have had all of their puppy vaccines to date. They will need to continue the series of puppy vaccines until they are 16 weeks. Then it will be time for their Rabies vaccine. To adopt, go to our website Takeafriendhome.org and click on the link to the application. Complete and send. For more information, call Deanna at 573-889-9691 or Cynthea 573-714-4232. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Housetrained? These pups are living in a pen with a dog door to the outside. At this age, they are too young to be any more housetrained than you are. We recommend a piddle pad option until your pup is 12 weeks old. For your dog to be successful: use a crate, go out with your dog, praise “right action”, and expect more of yourself than you do of your dog. Housetraining tips are in your adoption packet.

We are at PetSmart in O’Fallon, MO the 1st and 2ndSaturdays of each month and PetSmart in Chesterfield on the 3rd, 4th and 5th Saturdays – 11:00 to 5:00. We are at PetCo in St. Charles / St. Peters every Saturday from 12:00 to 4:00 with our young pups..
Adoption Fees and Payment Plans: We take credit cards and checks. Payments can be arranged with a credit card. As with all of our adoptions, we know it is hard to get married on a blind date... even to a wonderful pup. We will take our dog back during the first month and refund your adoption fee less $75. To hold a pup, we ask for a $50 non-refundable deposit if delivery is not made during the same week.
About the breed: Australian Shepherds are easy going, perpetual puppies that love to play. Courageous, loyal andaffectionate, they are excellent children's companions that are great with active children. A devoted friend and guardian, for they are naturally protective. Very lively, agile and attentive ‑ they are eager to please, with a sixth sense about what the owner wants. Australian Shepherds are highly intelligent and easy to train. Though aggressive when at work with livestock, the Aussie is gentle with human friends. The breed is very intelligent, active and easily bored. They can become nervous and destructive if left alone too much without exercise.--
