Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gemma is a beauty! Young, smart, fun and affectionate, she is a joy to have around. Gemma is only about one year old, and around 40 pounds by estimate, it is apparent that some time in the recent past she had a litter, but she is back to being a pup herself. We are fairly certain she is a Golden Retriever mix, with a herding breed perhaps? Collie is what the shelter staff thought and we stuck to that.
Gemma loves all the dogs in her foster home, but a few of them just don't want to play with her, and that's ok - there are others who do. She loved the car ride from the shelter to her foster home, and though she wasn't sure what a crate was, she quickly adapted to sleeping in one and does great the whole night through. Gemma is good on leash but could use a touch more work.
Please email us for an application if you would like to meet and possibly adopt this beautiful young girl.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
