Ruff Ruff! My name is Paxton
|Breed:||Vizsla/Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix||Color:||Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With White||Age:||Puppy|
|Size:||Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)||Sex:||Male|
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Paxton is an energetic boy for sure! He loves to play with other dogs. Always up for playtime, every second wanting to wrestle or tug-o-war! Except for those moments when he sees you falling asleep on the sofa, he will hop up and nestle into your neck & resign to a cat nap with you. Housebroken (minor accidents), knows how to sit & stay, and so focused. Once he figures out WHAT you want, he is so eager to please! Short haired so no shedding, crate trained, and friendly with cats.
He is the perfect match for an active family with children no doubt! Paxton has so much love to give, he deserves a family and a warm bed. Paxton is one of 3 puppies that we were helping a lady feed in the 5th Ward. He is neutered and vetted and now looking for his forever home. If you are interested in meeting Paxton please fill out an adoption application online at http://forgottendogs.org/adoption_application Thanks!

Rescue Group Info...
We rescue in a low income area of Houston called the 5th Ward. We founded Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward Project November of 2011 to address what we saw as an obvious need to help the many stray dogs we were seeing in there. We set up feeding stations and network and pull as many as we can when a foster home or no-kill rescue group says they can take them in. One of our goals is education and we provide residents with vouchers that cover the complete cost of having their animals altered and vaccinated against rabies. In addition, we provide other vaccinations and worming in the field free of charge. Since November 2011 we have grown in size and have rescued over 300 dogs and a few cats from the area. We are launching a program called Habitat for Hounds through which we will donate doghouses and blankets to residents for their dogs that are kept outside. Our website is forgottendogs.org and we are a 501c3.
We do not have a regular adoption site at this time, but stay tuned to our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ForgottenDogs5) for our upcoming events!
Our adoption fee is $125. We have an online application and a contract and all dogs/puppies are either spayed/neutered prior to adoption if old enough or arrangements are made to have them spayed/neutered afterwards.
