My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"PEPPER" would like to be "Home for the Holidays". He is a silver, neutered Toy Poodle who is 12" tall measuring from the floor to the top of his shoulder and is a strong, sturdy, healthy 10 pounds.

Pepper was adopted from a Kill Shelter a few years ago. Then his beloved Senior owner went into a Nursing home and could no longer care for him, so Pepper came to us instead of being euthanized.

Then Pepper was adopted by a family who deeply loved him, but found that he did not get along with their Poodle. Sadly, Pepper is once again looking forward to his new "forever more" family.

Pepper has been an only dog and the center of attention by his mom. After he gets to know you, he likes men as well as women and older children. However, this is not a Poodle for families with small children. He is limited in his hearing... O.K. he's probably deaf, but can see your hand signals just fine.

We have found Pepper IS FINE WITH OUR POODLES, probably because I do NOT tolerate bad manners. He really loves attention, will follow you all around the house and has been quickly jumping into a lap for some love!

If you are looking for LITTLE buddy, pal, friend, someone to go on walks with you, has lots of love and will fill your empty arms, this is the Poodle for you!

Blood work shows that Pepper is very healthy. However, Vet work for Pepper has been extensive and expensive. He had many teeth pulled and mouth surgery done. My Vet expressed how painful this little Poodle's life has been due to the rotting teeth, infections and open nerves in his mouth.

No wonder I couldn't touch his face and had a difficult time shaving his face. He is feeling so much better now.

Tests also show that Pepper was Lyme's and Anaplasma positive. BOTH OF THESE issues have been treated! These diseases are spread by Deer Ticks which have been a huge problem this past year for most all dogs. Pepper is cured, fine, healthy, happy and active.

Pepper was born on Christmas Day of 2003, loves to give kisses, go for walks, is very sociable and friendly. He has never had an accident in our home. He also just loves his food and treats, so you will have to watch what you feed him. What a very good boy you are, Pepper!

His $100.00 adoption fee helps cover just some of his Vet work including that listed above plus his shots are up to date, has been heart worm tested negative and placed on a preventative and wormed.

Also included is his kennel with blankets, a bag of dog food, treats, a supply of vitamins, a leash, collar, toys, a new doggie bed and lots of good information to help start your adoption on the right paw forward.

Pepper needs a loving home where he can finally rest his tired, old and worn out life.
All of our Poodles are placed in good, loving homes, like yours, with the intention that they will receive the love and care that all God's creations were intended to receive. We hope you understand that these poodles come to your home for the final day's of their lives, a "forever more" family until they go into the arms of our Great and Loving God.

NOTICE: Because Pepper is older, special needs and would be best in a home of his own, we would be happy to consider a long-term foster placement for him. You MUST live in the Elk River area so we can continue to provide any needed attention and/or Vet care.

Please contact us for more information. Thank you.
