Hello everyone, my name is Scooby. My foster mom calls me Scooby PigPen because when she picked me up from the shelter, I was a mess! It took 3 baths to tell I was a tri-colored beagle and not a blue-ticked beagle. I was also loaded with fleas, and ended up with kennel cough and pneumonia! I am a lucky old beagle because Midwest BREW is taking care of me. I have only been out of the shelter 2 weeks, I am already neutered, doing great on house training, and I'll even tell you a secret, I LOVE TO CUDDLE! If someone is watching TV, I am there, I love the other old beagle here, I am right next to my foster mom when she sleeps. I have even started baying when she gets home because I get excited.
I am a small beagle at 13 inches and 19 1/2 pounds. I could actually stand to gain a pound or two. That is what every beagle wants to hear.
The shelter staff said I was about 12 years old, but my teeth do not look like a 12 year old beagle’s teeth. I am also fairly healthy for an old man right now. I do have a grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur. I am not on any medications right now and it does not bother me in day-to-day life. My foster brother has one two and mom has had him for 3 1/2 years!
