Candy's Story...
Meet Candy! This beautiful Boarder Collie/Lab mix has been given a second chance at life and is looking for a forever home. Though we may not know her complete history, we do know that Candy is an affectionate girl who will make a great companion. Around 1 1/2 years old, this sweet girl loves to go for walks and play. She is full of energy and loves people. Candy yearns for a yard to play in, preferably a fenced in yard & a comfy couch to nap on, and most of all, lots of love. Would you be willing to give Candy the home of her dreams? If so, come visit her at the shelter. One look at her sweet face and youll be hooked!
** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Berea Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Berea, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
