My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Linda says:
My husband and I found this beautiful boxer wandering on the side of the road 7/30/13 in Manteca, Ca. She is just as loving, happy, and well tempered as a dog can get. She loves giving kisses but is not 'needy' and just as happy to lay in her bed in another room. Her coat is glossy and she is SMART. She learned how to go through the doggie doors just by watching my other three dogs. Sally rarely (if ever) barks. She does not jump up on furniture (or people).

She appears to be a full-breed Boxer with no mix at all. The vet places her at about 8 years old. She is about 60 lbs. right now but could certainly use to gain another 10.

She has been spayed and has gotten all of her shots at Northgate Veterinary Hospital in Manteca, Ca. Her tag number is 15363. She gets her stitches out on 8-28-13. She gets her Bordatella booster on 9-11-13. She appears to have been used at a Boxer puppy mill because her teats are elongated. Sally has some growths and we did have her examined by two Veterinarians. The vet that performed her spay surgery told us that they were most likely just benign growths. Removing them would certainly be a cosmetic improvement, but that is not something we can address on top of the more pressing requirements we needed to do to make her adoptable / eligible for an agency or shelter.

We have a doggie bed that she has made her own and it would go with her wherever she goes next, as it has been the one consistent personal space for her, and will help her to feel at home in a new environment.
