Meet Carmen! She is a 1-1 ½ year old, female Chihuahua. She weighs 6 lbs. We first saw Carmen’s adorable little fox face on the Lake Elsinore shelter website and just had to go down and meet her.

Carmen is very sweet, active and playful. She just loves life and has a welcoming friendly attitude with family and strangers alike. We think she would make a great dog park dog because she loves to run and leap like a gazelle. Although Carmen is very small, she is not fragile at all. She is agile and bold. At night Carmen becomes cuddle bug extraordinaire and loves to sleep under the covers with her people.

Carmen loves to go for walks and also has enjoyed some hiking with the resident dogs in her foster home. She likes to play fetch too. Carmen is very social and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home both large and small. She rides well in the car and enjoys going on errand trips with her foster family.

Carmen will use a dog door to go outside for potty and will also use a piddle pad. She is not a barker. In fact, she rarely even makes a peep.
